John Carroll: Taking Photographs for 20 years but has only recently opened his eyes. Interested in Photography as a medium for (gentle) social commentary.

These images are part of a set of 10 which examine barriers. The images start with a very harsh barrier ... that of a wall of Mountjoy prison and end with a benign barrier ... that of a barrier on a bridge to stop people falling off.

The four images exhibited are of a new padlock on a big gate, a barrier at a canal bridge , the back of an advertising hoarding and barriers and satellite dishes on an appartment block.
